Israel uses rockets to defend it's people; Hamas uses people to defend their rockets.
What we are seeing these days is Jew hatred, sometimes called anti-Semitism, on blatant display. All across the western world, university students are angrily displaying their Jew hatred by calling for the gassing of all Jews, chanting the "from the river to the sea" slogan of Hamas, and showing open support for the Hamas terrorists. Some of these students have been filmed tearing down the posters of kidnapped or missing Jews, placed there by distraught family members desperate to find their loved ones. After the mass slaughter on Oct. 7, 2023 of men, women, and children in Israel by Hamas terrorists, emotions have run high all over the world. Therefore, the objective facts need to be highlighted and brought to everyone's attention.
Fact 1: The irrational, evil hatred of the Jews and their state Israel by Western college professors, staff, and students is now blatantly obvious; they condone the murder, kidnapping, and torture of innocent civilians.
Fact 2: The Jews are human beings, individuals like everyone else, with their share of people who are neither all good nor all evil, but a mixture of both. They are largely innocent of all the "charges" against them. They are not "colonizers", "occupiers", "land stealers", etc. They are not, as a people, greedy Shylocks interested only in money, at the expense of others. Most Jews are interested in the same thing most of us are interested in: raising and caring for their families and loved ones, making an honest living, and practicing their faith.
Fact 3: The Jews in Israel have repeatedly offered the Palestinians their own state, carved out of the land they, the Jews, have an ancient historical claim to. History clearly shows this. Despite this, the Palestinian authorities have refused these offers, sometimes with violence. Often their justification for this refusal rests on the claim that the Jews stole the land from the Palestinians, that "Palestine" is an Arab state, rightfully theirs, that the Jews stole from them. Again, history proves them wrong. In 638, the Muslim Caliph Umar conquered Jerusalem, where the Jews had been living for hundreds of years prior. Although many Jews were exiled from the land, many stayed there, living through a succession of other invaders, most notably the Ottoman Turks, until the Israeli state was re-established in 1948.
Fact 4: Hamas is a terrorist organization that has done nothing good for the Palestinian people, who are predominantly ethnic Arabs descended from people who settled in the region during the late 19th century. Hamas instead exists, not to govern their people and take care of them in the manner governments should (infrastructure, social services, etc), but to kill all Jews.
Despite these facts, professors and students display their ignorance, willful blindness, and evil by supporting Hamas, falsely claiming that they are interested only in the so-called "plight" of the Palestinian people.
The Left has made a mistake here, one that will cost them dearly. Their support of baby-killers, rapists and murderers is now plain for all to see. Let us for a moment imagine that somehow the Jews were guilty of the charges against them. How, in a sane world, could an innocent baby sleeping in a crib, or a young adult attending an outdoor music festival, or anyone in Israel who had nothing to do with the commitment of these (false) charges, be considered fair game for such violence? The open, naked smirking evil of the Left is telling. It says that all public funding of these schools should end abruptly.
The situation in the UK, especially in London, has also shown the world that radical Islamists have no intention of assimilating into the culture there, or any culture they find themselves in. They intend instead to destroy this culture and supplant it with their own. They have said this over and over again. All future immigration into the UK, and other Western countries, should be prevented. Existing immigrants, professors/teachers, and foreign students who openly display their hatred of the Jews, who openly display hatred of the countries they find themselves in, should be deported immediately, or fired from their jobs.
"Never again" was the motto of those Jews who settled in Israel after it was legally established, referring to the Holocaust of World War Two, when millions of Jews-and other so-called undesirables-were brutally murdered. Israel is keeping true to their word by attacking Hamas with the intent of annihilating them before Hamas (and the others, most notably Hezbollah) annihilates the Jews. Yes, there are many who think that avoiding World War Three is more important than the particulars of this conflict, but that is because of the governments of Iran, China and Russia.
