Hamas terrorists thinking that the way to salvation is through murder, mayhem and destruction.
The American left who supports Hamas.
People who think that men can be women and vice versa. No, really.
The Jonestown mass suicide.
The prohibition of alcohol.
The Y2K bug panic.
The belief in a global warming catastrophe right around the corner.
There are other examples of human folly, irrationality and stupidity on a smaller scale. Most of us encounter it every day (or so it seems).
But what strikes me the most is watching someone articulate a passionate, intense belief in a cause that is stupid and false, for example, Greta Thunberg and the other climate disaster idiots. Also, those who think that it is justified to block traffic to protest, thinking that the term "raise awareness" has practical meaning. Also, those people who interrupt speakers at a public event, under mistaken premises. I don't believe there are words powerful enough to describe the emotions I feel in response to watching someone be passionately stupid. Mostly anger and disgust at such narcissistic arrogance, as if they have the right to transmit such vapidity to the world, to be taken seriously, just because they believe it.
Then there are the people opposed to the work of Dr. Jordan Peterson, who has helped millions of people live a better life for themselves, their families and communities. It is not hyperbole to point out that Dr. Peterson has been a force for good, as the fervent on-line testimonies attest. Just watching his style of lecturing, seeing his real passion to transmit knowledge in order to help people, is a wonderful thing for me-and millions of others-but yet, other people hate him. His take on many issues has been distorted and manipulated by his enemies, based on nothing but their ignorance and stupidity. All of their premises are false, yet one can still see their idiot passion on full display.
So, don't be stupid. Learn to think critically, learn how to challenge your own emotions and defeat them if necessary, accept reality no matter how harsh it may be for your situation, and get your own house in order before you attempt to change the world.
