Wilders’ Trial: Win One, Lose One

Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician, has been on trial recently for "offending Muslims". I have read and listened to most of what he has said about Islam, and all of it has been based on the very words of the Qu'ran (as well as the Hadith and Sharia Law). It is worth noting here that the things Wilders has said were based not on his own interpretation of these texts, but on the literal reading of the texts.
There is also a large body of empirical evidence showing that so-called radical Muslims who read the Koran and follow Sharia Law have acted precisely in ways that has made Wilders speak out against them. In other words, he has told the truth, nothing more. In fact, these radical Muslims  themselves have shown us that what Wilders has said about them is true, by their words and actions. For speaking such truth, Wilders is now on trial in The Netherlands. The really shocking thing about this case is that the Dutch court trying Wilders has ruled that Wilders cannot use the fact that he has been telling the truth as a defense. The link below will take you to the full story.
